About Clovis Lawyers

We are a boutique practice. Matters are handled by people who stay with the file, speak plainly, and treat discretion as part of the work rather than a slogan.

Who we are

Clovis Lawyers advises individuals, families, companies and institutions when the problem crosses a border or when the stakes are high enough that a generic answer will not do. Some clients come to us to structure a business or protect assets. Others come because they have already lost money to a fraudulent platform and need a legal route, not another promise.

The firm is a small case team. Where a matter needs a lawyer admitted in a particular country, we instruct local counsel rather than pretend we are admitted everywhere. The people who will act, and their professional registrations, are confirmed in writing before any engagement.

Who handles your file

New correspondence, including recovery enquiries, is handled by the Case Department. The named contact on that correspondence is Mark Andrews. He is the first point of contact for the enquiry, stays with the file, and introduces any local counsel if the matter needs them.

We do not publish a list of bar or law-society numbers on this website. Those details are sent in writing, for the lawyers who will actually act, before you are asked to instruct us. If a registration cannot be verified, do not proceed.

Where we work

“Worldwide” on this site means the problem often crosses a border, not that we hold practising certificates in every country. We review the file from this office, identify the jurisdictions that matter, and work through locally admitted counsel where that is required. If we cannot usefully help, we say so early.

Who we act for

Private clients who want advice they can act on. Businesses that need contracts, disputes or regulatory work handled without drama. People who sent funds to an investment, trading or similar scheme and now need someone to review the facts and say what can still be done.

We do not take every enquiry. If a matter is outside what we can usefully do, we say so early.

How we work

A first conversation is confidential. We ask what happened, what you still have in writing, and what you want the outcome to be. From there we set a scope, a fee arrangement you can understand, and a plan you can follow.

  • One point of contact for the life of the matter
  • Written advice in language you can use
  • No hidden charges and no guarantee of a particular result

Discretion

Many of our clients do not want their name, their loss, or their commercial problem discussed outside the file. We keep correspondence tight, limit who sees the papers, and do not use client stories for marketing.
