If you lost money to a scam, start with the facts. Clovis Lawyers reviews what happened, what evidence you still have, and whether there is a legal way to pursue the money. We do not promise that funds will be returned.
People who transferred money to a platform, broker, “account manager” or similar scheme that then blocked withdrawals, asked for more fees, or disappeared. The same review can apply to crypto transfers, bank wires, and card payments where a civil claim or a formal complaint still has something to attach to.
If you are still in contact with the platform, stop. Do not send further funds to “unlock”, “tax” or “verify” an account. Those requests are usually part of the same fraud.
Where the facts sit in another country, we instruct locally admitted counsel. We do not claim to be admitted in every jurisdiction, and we do not open a file unless there is a person or company that can still be named.
We take a first account of the loss, look at the documents, and tell you whether the file is worth opening. Where it is, typical work includes identifying the counterparties that can still be named, gathering a usable evidence pack, and advising on civil recovery, complaints, or related steps in the jurisdictions that actually apply.
Where the trail is gone, or the only remaining “help” is another payment, we will say the file should stop.
